1. Who we are
Tetley Clover (Pvt) Ltd (“Tetley Clover”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a private limited company incorporated in Pakistan, with its registered office at Lakson Square Building No. 2, Karachi 74200, Pakistan. We manufacture and supply aluminium profiles, sheets, tubes, fabricated components and related metal products.
Tetley Clover is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our privacy contact is info@tetleyclover.pk, telephone +92 300 748 2165.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal information we process through:
- the website at tetleyclover.pk and any sub-domain we operate;
- any mobile application published by Tetley Clover (Pvt) Ltd on Google Play or other application stores (each, the “App”);
- enquiries, quotations, orders and correspondence handled by email, telephone or in person.
It does not apply to third-party websites, marketplaces or services that we do not control, even where we link to them. Those services publish their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
3. Personal information we collect
We collect only the information we need to answer enquiries, supply goods and keep our services working. The categories below describe what may be collected, why, and whether it is optional.
| Data type | Examples | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|

| Transaction records | Order references, invoices, delivery notes, payment status | Fulfilling contracts and meeting tax and accounting obligations | Required for orders |

| Approximate location | City or region inferred from IP address | Routing enquiries to the correct sales desk and estimating delivery | Collected automatically; no precise GPS location is collected |
We do not collect or request special-category or sensitive personal data such as health information, biometric identifiers, religious or political beliefs, or government identity numbers, except where a customer supplies a tax registration number that is legally required on an invoice.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal information for third-party advertising or advertising identifiers.
4. How we use personal information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and confirm technical specifications.
- To process, manufacture, dispatch and invoice orders, and to provide after-sales support.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website and the App, including authentication where accounts exist.
- To diagnose crashes and errors, monitor performance, and improve product and service quality.
- To send service communications such as order confirmations, delivery updates and changes to terms.
- To send commercial updates where you have asked to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with tax, accounting, customs, export and other legal obligations in Pakistan and applicable jurisdictions.
We do not use your personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Contract — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform a contract for the supply of goods.
- Legitimate interests — to run and secure our business, keep the App stable, and answer business correspondence, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — for optional marketing messages, optional device permissions, and any non-essential analytics or cookies. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial and tax records and to respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
6. Device permissions used by the App
Where we publish an App, it requests only the permissions needed for a feature you actively use, and it explains each request in context before the system prompt appears. Permissions can be refused or later revoked in your device settings without losing access to unrelated features.
- Camera — only if you choose to photograph a part or drawing to attach to an enquiry. Images are not accessed in the background.
- Photos and files — only to let you select an attachment or save a document such as a quotation or datasheet.
- Network state — to detect connectivity and queue actions when the device is offline.
- Notifications — only if you opt in, to send order or enquiry status updates. No marketing push notifications are sent without consent.
The App does not collect precise GPS location, does not read your contacts, SMS messages or call logs, and does not record audio.
7. How we share and disclose information
We share personal information only as described below, and always limited to what the recipient needs:
- Service providers (processors) — hosting, email delivery, crash reporting and analytics providers who process data on our written instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Logistics and delivery partners — the recipient name, address and telephone number necessary to deliver an order.
- Professional advisers — accountants, auditors and lawyers bound by duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities — where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order or a valid request from a competent authority, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Corporate transactions — if the business or part of it is merged, acquired or reorganised, information may transfer to the successor entity under equivalent protections; you will be informed of any material change.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
8. Third-party services
Our website and App may use a limited set of third-party services, each of which processes only the data needed for its function:
- Web hosting and content delivery — server logs including IP address, requested URL, timestamp and user agent, retained for security and performance.
- Google Fonts — used to serve typefaces on our web pages; the request includes your IP address and browser information.
- Crash and diagnostics reporting — where enabled in the App, aggregated crash traces, device model and OS version used solely to fix defects.
- Email service — delivery of transactional messages such as quotations and order confirmations.
Where an App is distributed through Google Play, Google also processes information as described in the Google Play services and Google Privacy Policy, independently of us.
9. International transfers
We are based in Pakistan. Some service providers store or process data on servers located outside Pakistan. Where information is transferred internationally, we require the recipient to apply appropriate safeguards — including contractual commitments to confidentiality, purpose limitation and security measures at least equivalent to those described in this policy.
10. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it or irreversibly anonymise it:
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order — up to 24 months from the last contact.
- Customer and transaction records — for the duration of the business relationship and for the period required by Pakistani tax, corporate and accounting law thereafter.
- App account data — for as long as the account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
- Crash logs, diagnostics and server logs — normally up to 12 months.
- Marketing consents and unsubscribe records — kept for as long as needed to honour your preference.
11. Your rights, and how to delete your data
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to: access a copy of the personal information we hold about you; correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; delete information we no longer need; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your information in a portable format; and withdraw consent you previously gave.
Requesting account and data deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, send an email to info@tetleyclover.pk with the subject line “Data deletion request”, stating the account email address or telephone number used. Where the App provides an in-app account screen, deletion can also be started from that screen.
- We acknowledge requests within 7 working days and complete verified requests within 30 days.
- Deletion covers account details, profile data, saved enquiries and associated usage records.
- Records we are legally required to keep — for example issued invoices and tax documents — are retained for the statutory period and then deleted.
- Backup copies are purged on our normal backup rotation, within 90 days at the latest.
We do not charge for these requests and we will not treat you differently for making one. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant data protection or consumer authority in your jurisdiction.
12. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS, hashed storage of authentication credentials, role-based access limited to staff who need it, hardened hosting with regular updates, and internal confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals and any competent authority without undue delay where the law requires it.
13. Children
Our website, App and products are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly direct our services to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@tetleyclover.pk and we will delete it promptly.
14. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses only strictly necessary storage required to serve pages and remember basic display preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party advertising identifiers. Where any non-essential analytics cookie is introduced in future, we will request consent before it is set and update this policy first. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal obligations. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where we hold your contact details and the change affects you, by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of our website or App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
